Other Hybrid Tea Roses
The classic Hybrid Tea is quit rightly regarded as the “Queen of Roses”. Hybrid Teas and Grandiflora roses (large-flowered Floribundas) have well-formed, large, double, mostly single held flowers on firm stems which makes them perfectly suited for cutting. Hybrid Teas flower in flushes throughout summer, often until the first frost in late autumn and most varieties are deliciously scented. The beauty of the Hybrid Tea is determined by the individual flower, rather then the mass-display of colour produced by beds of roses. Hybrid Teas are excellent garden roses for growing in beds, small groups, in borders or as a solitary bush. Their height depends on pruning, soil, climate, variety and varies between 70 to 150 cm. The planting distance for most varieties, depending on use and individual strength of growth, is about 40 cm or 6 roses pro m2.
